Ricoh Joins the Responsible Business Alliance, the World's Largest Industry Coalition Dedicated to CSR in Global Supply Chains

TOKYO, Japan - November 27 – Ricoh Company, Ltd., (Tokyo, Japan) is pleased to announce that it has joined the Responsible Business Alliance (Headquarters: Virginia, U.S.A, hereinafter "RBA"), a global coalition dedicated to CSR in global supply chains.
The RBA is a non-profit coalition*1 that supports the rights and wellbeing of workers and communities affected by the global supply chain. Founded in 2004 by a group of leading electronics companies, the coalition now includes global member companies in a wide range of industries such as the retail, automotive and toy sectors as well as electrical, electronics and ICT manufacturers. As a member of the RBA, Ricoh will fully support the vision and mission of the RBA.

Members, suppliers, and stakeholders collaborate to improve working and environmental conditions through leading standards and practices.
The RBA sets out standards in the RBA Code of Conduct to help ensure that, in supply chains, work environments are safe, workers are treated with respect and dignity, and the manufacturing processes are responsible for their environmental impact. Ricoh will comply with the RBA Code of Conduct in its business activities. Moreover, it will respect RBA's common goals and spirit and commits to adopting and implementing the RBA approach and tools. Furthermore, Ricoh will support the activities of its Tier 1 suppliers to share these initiatives with them.
With the launch of its Mid-Term Management Plan in 2017, Ricoh has been accelerating its efforts to resolve social issues through business, aiming to make contributions toward the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that were agreed upon by the international community. Since the Ricoh Group Supplier Code of Conduct was established in January 2006, Ricoh and its suppliers, who are asked to comply with this Code of Conduct, have been making efforts to aim at a better society and global environment, as well as the sustainable development of business. Going forward, Ricoh, as a member of the RBA, aims to contribute to the achievement of a sustainable society by sharing the vision and mission of the RBA with its suppliers based on the RBA Code of Conduct.
